We're finally starting to get a little here, after many, many weeks without any at all, but we really need a soft, soaking rain for about two or three weeks. The clay is bone dry.

Currently raining, 1/4 inch so far and more to come later today and tomorrow.

That takes us up to 10.5 inches total for this rainfall-year to date.

After daily severe thunderstorms and hail working over my bananas ,it has finally dried out and is now in the mid nineties with a dew point of 70 !! The Midwest is so much fun weather wise.

Hi every body haven't posted in a long time but came up with a new problem for me. Hope you can help? Live in central Florida along the Atlantic coast. During the month of July we had almost no rain (<.02in). We have 60 Banana trees of different varieties, many of them are in fruit, we water and fertilize to support them. Then in Aug it began to rain we got about 7 inches of rain in the first ten (10) days August. During this time we have had three mature Ice cream trees in full fruit collapse up near their top. The trunk looks rather grey but the leaves are still green.

Is it an over abundance of water? They do not stand in water. The other surrounding trees do not seem to be affected. I know its too late for theses trees. These trees are 25 feet tall and loaded with fruit its a shame. I going let hang ad see what happens
