![]() Yeah, thanks a lot guys. I appreciate the information about this composter. It definitely looks like one of the best models on the internet.

![]() Yes, the newer model (UCT-9) is an improvement on the older UCT-7. The ventilation really helps alot. It does drip "tea" out the bottom, which will eat right through a wooden deck.
Price-wise, it is a good value at around $200. To do better, either you have to make your own or spend around $500+. Of course for large projects, there is the 29.5 cu.yd. (5,958 gallon) L&M model 824 shown below, or its big brother model 1050 which handles 96 cu.yd. (19,389 gallons)! ![]()

![]() lol
Yes and if not on a deck, the grass and weeds below will love you for the tea kettle you placed above them. One of the reasons I finally got the tea catchers was to keep the weeds and grass down! It was feeding them very well, but now I catch and isolate the tea, and use it for better things, like feeding my Ae Ae ![]()

![]() Jarred, I just wanted to let you know that I plan on buying this model in the spring. This seems like the best composter available. Thanks for your advice. I'll let you know how I like it when it turns out some black gold!

![]() I've had it just about a year now. I started filling it with kitchen scraps as soon as I set it up(I have to play with new toys), I left it outside and all of the contents froze then when it started to warm up I put it in the sun and in a couple of days it had thawed out. I made two full batches last summer.
