Austin, from what I remember, there were several plants Scot had in TC that failed when an air conditioning unit went out or something. He wrote about it at the time, well before he decided to make the move to China. As far as TC supplies, I wasn't expecting anything since I got a refund. I don't think Scot was/is a scammer, just didn't plan for this move well enough IMO. I hope he is doing well.

yes the Veinte Cohol was in tc they were doing grate he had about 10 starts going a cuple showed some signs of infesction but the rest were doing well then the AC whent down and they were toast sorry to tell you this i thought he posted on that? he lost many plants in that feasco some of which were vary rare i maniged to get a few like the HY out befor this but no VC if we all ever get a crope of them going id be happy to share some pups but i don't have any vc at this point

I thought I'd pass on word.... I just received an e-mail from Scot a few minutes ago in reply to an e-mail I sent on October 5th.

In short, he is doing fine, has lost some weight, has had hassles with work visa, but now has them squared away. He isn't always able to access his Yahoo e-mail account and he has to walk 10 miles to get to a place with computer access (wow!). He just had luck getting into his account and had a boat load of messages so I was lucky to hear back. He has not been able to get to this site but plans to find a proxy server eventually so he can drop in on the org. By spring he should have the ability to get out and do some exploring.

I got a couple of e-mails from Scot a month or so ago, somewhat political in nature, as I recall. I think I sent a reply but didn't get any follow-up after that. Sorry I don't have anything more certain, but I think he's doing fine.

Scot is on My sh*t list he asked me to pay a bill for him i was out raged it was unabashedly usury of him and i told him so he hasn't written me sins last year and i doubt i ever will hear from him again he did apologias to me after but being that hes not writing sins id say I'm done with him unless he can come up with a strong reason why the one person that supported him and helped him throw thick and thin and asked for not a thing in return but friend ship I'm done with him i feel used and thats all I'm saying on it i probably should not be saying any of this in public but i think the Truth will win out as they say and you if you hear from him can tell him exsactly what i said cut and past if if you want i dont care

Pauly, you shared that with me before and I feel bad how Scot hurt you. Still, when I write him I don't care to stir things up and it's best just to move on. Like I tell my son, we can't control how folks treat us but we can control our response so I tell him to do his best to always be a good example.

well i don't want any one to get hurt thats all its not intended as a way to get back at him and the criticism is why i and a bunch of other people don't want to post here any more iv been gone since Nov and my first post gets flamed so i guess that prove what i have been thinking all along I'm not mad at any of you but you mite do well to check that parental instinct to correct grown adults in public if there was shame in what i said it was mine to bare alone not yours to Heep more upon my head so you see you did the vary thing you are getting after me for doing!

I just got an e-mail from Scot. He's lost 30 pounds due to eating less fattening food and still has limited Internet access. He's enjoying his time there quite a bit but his limited income doesn't allow him to travel much and he works six days a week. He said that Dr. Markgraf died; I hadn't read about that. Scot had hoped to meet him. He ended his message with:

Pauly, I know you were a huge help to Scot and I know he appreciated it big time. Too bad things ended up the way they did. You're a good guy and don't stop being nice out of fear of getting taken advantage of.

Well, I just got a chance to go online and wanted to say hi. I am still here in China and presently in Fujian province. I've seen many bananas here but still have no camera. Still learning Chinese though it is difficult due to many local dialects.
Hope to scan some of your photos and see what all you're growing back home.
