Car guys!

My Dad told me he looked at my camaro in storage and saw mold on the leather in places :(. Car has sat closed up since 2008. The armoral sitting in the leather caused that. Will alcohol remove it? What can I add in the car to keep moisture away? Thanks.

I was told that cars with leather that are being stored should be in storage with the windows cracked to prevent damage to the leather. You can try a high power black light to try and kill the mold without causing damage to the leather.

Never use armor-all on leather. The best product for leather is Lexal. Use their cleaner and then their conditioner. Leave the windows cracked a bit and leave a moister trap in the car.

It's like that vinyl leather material, not seat leather. Stuff the dash and other panels are made of.

Blz
Buy a bag of kitty litter, put few slits in it and toss it in the back seat.
Two bags are better.
That is my method.
Good luck

The more absorbent the better least expensive the better
The more bags the better
