These are the few photos I took with my new camera. I just used auto focus.

See the next pic..I always wondered how people take pics like this.. I tried so many times with my point and shoot cameras and never happened.

Thanks

It was picked from my yard, about eight or nine days before this picture was taken and brought in to bloom

I kinda like this picture. If I hadn’t been able to whip my little point ‘n shoot out of my pocket at a moment’s
notice, I would have missed that lady paddling by. And I would have had a bunch of bamboo set in concrete.

Therefore, while a high quality camera is great for refined and art photography, for my purpose of “catching
the moment”, whenever it occurs, something I have in my pocket all the time is more helpful.

And my new point n' shoot, with 10x magnification and image stabilizer will open brand new possibilities.

Thumbs up Re: Camera Talk!

I agree, and think that's a fantastic shot Olaf.

It's not like I walk around everyday carrying my dslr camera, three lenses, and all my gear. Most of the time I only have my little pocket digital camera with me, so I'm lucky to even get a shot at all!

Your pics are just terrific, Olaf.

Default Serenity

Serenity is just lying on your back and lacily point the camera straight up and click.

I have never seen these bugs, maybe they are nocturnal, but I know they are afraid of falling off,
that is why they live on such stiff leaved trees and never chew right to the edge.

Sometimes you may even be tempted to point the camera sideways, aah the pleasure of relaxing.

Very nice indeed, Olaf. I enjoyed your shots. Looks like you had a great time. Here was a serene pic I took about a week ago...

I'm entertaining thoughts of getting another lens for my camera soon...although I'm not sure which one just yet.

I had to go back 3 times, before I caught this tree again in the same light as I had
seen it previously, when I was too rushed to take this picture.

See? the eye of the photographer is often more important than the lens of the camera.

This pretty fella does not just come to see us in the winter, when times are tough. He stuck around for a full photo
session this morning.

Hold on, I cannot go in front of the camera looking like this. I simply have to freshen up a bit first.

Not yet! My other side needs a bit of attention too

Now I am ready for a dignified portrait. Make sure you show off my fine chest plumage after all this grooming

A side shot, showing off my aristocratic beak, would aid me greatly in finding a suitable mate
