Not often can you see th whole arc of the rainbow. I couldn't get the whole thing on one picture...

...so here is the other end

The "Price of Gold" must be right behind that house

Reflected in the pond as well as in the air...

... and then wiped out by the rain

My new cell phone has an 8 megapixel camera, a far cry from the less than 1 megapixel camera that I used before. The quality of the images I can take with it is amazing.

Today we had a visitor on our back porch:

This platform is awfully high to fish from. Maybe I should hop down onto these leaves and try from there?

I am not so sure about this, but heck, nothing ventured - nothing gained!

Holy cow! I thought these leaves would support me!

Well, this was embarrassing

Better fluff up my feathers a bit to dry them out

Maybe my dignity is still salvageable?

Nah, I'd better be outta here

I noticed some prettyt good advice given to someone who was having trouble getting pix onto the .org. I have a slightly different problem, and I didn't want to hijack her thread, so I'm asking it here.
I have no problem with uploading the pictres here. I just can't get the pictures from my camera into my computer. I have a little Nikon Cool Pix point and shoot. It came with a cable to transfer pictures from the camera to the 'puter. When you plug the cable into the camera, a screen comes up, with a listing of the pictures to be transferred. In the lower right hand corner is a button that says, "Start Transfer". You click on that and the pictures go into the computer. It worked fine for some time but, the last time when I clicked on the start transfer button, the whole screen just disappeared, and nothing happened.

After trying all the updates and and wasting hours of your time searching endless posts about this problem.
I would just remove the memory card from the camera and plug it in to one of the memory slots on your computer . If you dont have a memory slot then you can pick up a usb connectable model cheaply
Just be sure your memory card fits
Ativa SmartMate All-in-One USB 2.0 Card Reader/Writer Ativa 800100 SmartMate
That is a link to one of many available

When your camera is plugged into your computer, if you open the "my computer" can you see the camera listed as some type of removable drive? If you do then you should be able to keep opining folders under that drive until you end up with a folder with all the pictures on the card. Then you can copy/paste them to where you want them.

Trebor - I had purchased one of those card reader USB things, but I can't get it to work. My card is an SD, and the gadget says USB on it. I hope I got it in right. Even though I had already put the card in it, it keeps saying that I have to insert a disk in the drive. There is a little blue light on it that came on once, but it still says that I have to insert a disc.
Dangermouse - That worked. I found the picture, and moved it to My Pictures, where I could crop it as I wanted. One more question, though. It seems that every picture I took is on there, even ones that I deleted on the camera. It also says something like 207 pictures taken. 362 remaining. What does that mean?
