Default BVO Brominated vegetable oil

Oh yeah this crap is in your soda pop especially the cheap stuff.. You have to see what's in what you pull off the shelf till the new stuff replaces whats there now. It's like they are dong a recall, they are doing a reformulation for some products.. This would be in reference to you sports drink people's, and Mountain Dewer's.. Mello Yellow doesn't have it, and Coke is pulling it from Powerade, but not Fanta from what I read... So Squirt is still out for you Whiskey Sour drinkers.. :^)

Haven't drank soda now for over 4 years. Just a sip would be enough to make me sick. The brown stuff contains phosphoric acid, which is great for eating up all of your healthy bone.

If y'all talkin'bout unhealthy stuff I'll mention I had a conversation with a Hispanic man, the other day, that told me his wife is recovering from breast cancer.
The Doctor said they should avoid artificial color in potato chips (no pun intended), I like making home-made salsa too. Additionally acrylamide is another ingredient linked to cancer, created in the roasting, frying, and baking process in many other foods and drinks too.
Too many people don't understand the concept of 'eating what makes you feel good/healthy'.

Hi Justin,

actually a much greater threat from overheating food (>100^C or 212^F) is the
formation of AGEs, mostly called Advanced Glycation Endproducts, but also
Advanced Glycosylation Endproducts or Advanced Glycoxidation Endproducts
as well as their brethren: ALEs Advanced Lipoxidation Endproducts.

These guys gum up your system everywhere as you age (AGE ). They stiffen your
arteries, so that platelets can settle and cause arthrosclerosis, stiffen the bladders of
the elderly, so that they have to run all the time and make your skin wrinkle as you age
(here it is again: AGE).

There is lots to be said and something that may be done about alleviating the damage.
But a major discussion on that is probably off-topic in this forum. If you would like to
discuss the subject further, please send me a PM or better an email to olafh@shaw.ca

Olaf
