What is boredom?
I have never been bored my entire life. Do I miss out on something?

This is a question about making your own fertilizer so perhaps it belongs elsewhere but I would like to pick others' brains informally about what natural ingredients (i.e. not purchased but scavenged) are the best for adding N, P & K in addition to trace elements.

I have access to all the seaweed I want; I can, when I get settled, load the truck with free manure of all sorts. There are coffee shops in the area so grounds are available. The county will fill my bed with ground but uncompleted compost comprised of yard waste for free. (Okay, it's not "free"--I have buy gas but otherwise I'd have to buy another chipper and go pick up stuff by the road so it works out.) I don't believe there's any such animal as grass clippings in FL; these people mow like 2x a week whether it's needed or not. Obviously, I compost religiously.

I've searched and read a lot but am confused. What exactly does seaweed bring to the table? Manure? (My own compost and the county's "mulch" are too variable to guess components I suspect.)

lol delete delete delete.... My doggie helps me fertilize :) I also have a cow pasture behind my house and bury all my fish heads and guts in my compost... grass clipping, banana peels, and coffee grounds weekly... I collect all my leaves in the Fall, and use them year around.
