From time to time,many different ads appear between the posts here. Some are humorous, or ridiculous, like one from what I think is a weight loss program. This one states that there are 5 foods that you should never eat, and it shows a picture of a banana; this on a banana forum!
Recently, however, there was one that I thought was important enough that I should alert other .org members about. It's from USAA, United Services Automobile Association.

A little history.
Years ago, when I was in flight school, at Pensacola, I bought my first car. Since Pensacola is a Navy town, car dealers, etc. are geared to serving the military. The dealer set me up with low cost financing through the Navy Federal Credit Union, and insurance from USAA. At that time, USAA was for military officers only, but they have since opened it to just about anyone who has had any connection with the military; active duty, reservists, retired, officers and enlisted, etc.
I have had my auto insurance with them, ever since, and when I bought my house, I got home-owner's insurance from them also. Over the years, besides opening up to more members, they have expanded the scope of the business also. They have their own bank, and offer checking and savings accounts, annuities, mutual funds, credit cards, etc. I don't have a mortgage any more, but they have those also.
All of this is at very good rates, because every member is a part owner. I have gotten many phone calls from people who say they can save me money on my auto insurance. I tell them that they can't, and when I say I have USAA, their only responce is something like, "Oh."
The company is consistently listed by various magazines, and other groups, as one of the best to work for and/or do business with.
Almost every year, I'll get a letter from them, stating that they had a better year than anticipated, so they're giving all members a XX% rebate.

LoL, now I am seeing adds for USAA. I find the add change based on what other stuff I have been looking up.

I don't see what the problem is. I was surprised the see the USAA ad come up , in the rotation, but they are the greatest company in the world.
