I love these guys, they look so scary. But yet despite their name, I never have found them on my bananas.

They are all over my farm in the early summer, then the wasps take them out

Speaking of spiders, my bananas have spiders at just about every petiole. Some sort of common garden spider. I don't mind and I'm not scared of them but they make a huge mess with the webs all over the place. Now they seem to have migrated to other areas of the garden, the roofline of the house, the neighbors gardens and rooflines, the things are everywhere! We have praying mantis that breed and live in the garden, tons of birds, and even jumping spiders that will eat other spiders yet they still persist. Anyone else have this problem?

Brown widow spiders seem to love hanging out in my banana plants. I can't say I'm a big fan of that.
