Banana leaves!

Have any of ya'll had any luck selling banana leaves?

I came across a guy selling banana leaves online in South Florida for about $2 a leaf depending on size and quantity. The main business is green coconuts for coconut water but he also has banana leaves on his website. Curious if banana leaves are in demand in the US in volume.

I doubt the volume sales, but I have sold the occasional leaves to Asians or Hispanics here in Southern California. They use it for tamales. Once I have sold about twenty for a Polynesian pig BBQ.
The inflorescence with male flowers is also very popular with Asians. It is used in soups and salads.

Out here in Southern California, many large chain grocers (Ralph's and Food4Less, subsidiaries of Kroger) sell banana leaves to hispanics, asians, and people who roast animal meats and fishes on BBQs or in pits --- as in Hawaii. So, yes, there is a niche market, though not mainstream.
