On the Ballot!
I am now officially on the ballot for Soil and Water Supervisor in November! :woohoonaner:
I have four challengers, but it looks like all of them are on the opposite party, so I have a good chance of carrying this. They split their vote waaaay too much. :08: |
Re: On the Ballot!
Congrats!! Keep us updated how you do.

Re: On the Ballot!
Will do. Once I get my yard signs updated, I'll post a pic in the jungle!

Re: On the Ballot!
Okay, so here are the updated graphics on the car and my yard signs.
I am legally prohibited from spending a single cent on this campaign, so I have had to improvise. The yard signs are recycled from my City Council days. I painted over the old info, and using a stencil I cut from another sign, sprayed the new lettering. My car is a hoot. I did all of the graphics myself, from gold Mylar left over from a 1989 or 1990 car project, and some assorted vinyl left over from various projects over the years. The flag stickers came from my sister right after 911, and I've been saving them for something special (like this). I think the new car graphics look a lot better than the sign taped to the car door, LOL! |

To many fog lamps. Why not go with a LED light bar?
Ill vote for you! Anyone could do better than our FL governor. |

Re: On the Ballot!
Haha, thanks! I don't know what's exploding in the distance, but there's a train in the background too. That crazy cat looks like one of my orange ones. As soon as I saw it, I had to order it. I have all kinds of reactions to it, mostly like yours.
It goes well with a shirt I picked up at the Titan Missile Museum with a pic of an H-Bomb detonating with the caption, "It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time..." |
Re: On the Ballot!
What does "Soil and Water" do? Is it a paid position? Full time? I guess if Ronnie could get political there's no reason you can't. :ha: Good luck!

Re: On the Ballot!
Soil and Water is the most important political office that most people have never heard of. It is an unpaid office (as all should be), and is responsible for helping farmers and rural landowners obtain grants for soil erosion problems, which keeps our creeks free from silt buildup, which affects the quality of our public drinking water supplies.
Ronnie started as an actor and got into politics, as is most often the case (Ahnold, Gopher, Cooter etc). I actually started in politics, and got into acting because I was already used to being on camera. Much like Fred Thompson. |
