Angel fish and electronics.

Patty - You asked how much the FiOS costs. The package of phone, internet and TV is about $95.00 a month. When I had dial up, with the copper lines, I had one for the phone, and one for the puter, so I could be on the computer and take a phone call at the same time. I also have a fax program, on the computer. (I like that, because the faxes appear on the monitor; if you don't want one, you just delete. You don't have to waste a bunch of paper and ink printing junk faxes.) With the fiber optic, you can talk and compute, at the same time, so I was able to drop one line.

As for the angel fish: When I was a kid, I was told that angels mated for life. I later found that this wasn't true; that just about any pair would work and, when I got the business, I got pretty good at picking pairs. Most of the people that asked me to pick a pair for them, would come back in a couple of weeks and tell me that they had spawned. I mentioned that most of my angel fish spawnings were accidental. When I got breeding size angels in, I would put a piece of slate in the tank, and lots of times, there were eggs the next day. I even had a double header once - one pair on each side of the slate! Over the years, we had all kinds of accideltal spawnings, and birthings. I once figured it out to be about 200 differnt kinds of fish.

One of my favorites was the Bettas, Siamese fighting fish. I decided I wanted to breed those. I got a hundred plastic shoe boxes, and put a rock in each, (for the female to hide behind) along with a floating plant and a pair of fish. We gave them 3 days to spawn. If it wasn't done by then, they were separated, and new pairs set up. We were getting about a 60% success rate but, after several months, and some calculations, I found it was cheaper to bring them in from Bangkok.

Also on the FIOs
We were going to drop the home phone - never use it
It would actually cost us MORE to just have TV & Internet

John, you Thread Wrecker! Just kidding :)
I heard angels mate for life too. Mine only bred with the same mate - every time. They were very protective with their eggs & would nose dive all fish into a corner till I got all the eggs out of tank.
Now you got me curious about FiOS. How many channels do you get on tv? I am ignorant about a lot of this. Mike would want the sports channels & I like True tv & some movies... & Spike too. Fax on puter? I gave him my old one -he needs phone line just for that - we all have cells.
