MY HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS:

Here's a cool Jack-o-Lantern I bought a couple years back, that's made of spongey styrofoam material, and it has a light in it that plugs into the wall. Here is was last night lit up, so you can see it...

I love it that I never have to bother with messy candles or worry about fire. I keep it lit in my window all throughout October. Here it is in the daytime so you can see how real it kinda looks...

Here too, are some shots I took this morning of my decorated apartment door for Halloween...

Here's some close-up pics so you can see my stuff...

Hope everyone has a great Friday.

Yes, Great decorations! I really like that lit jack o'lantern, Sherry. It does look real even in daylight.

Here are my front porch decorations in three different camera lighting situations:

This was taken with a flash - the bat has purple lights with flashing green eyes though it didn't photograph that way.

This one is without flash, my camera doesn't take very good pictures at night.

This is some other setting on my camera, I don't remember which one but I thought it looked pretty neat.

I don't like having to fret with candles either but I love the lights!

Thanks Janan! Great stuff. Love your decorations and your pics. Thanks for sharing them with all of us. :03:

I have a smaller Jack-o-Lantern also that I keep in my bathroom window. It looks kind of real too. Here it is in the daytime & at night...

Awesome decos! :D Nothing here yet but we do have a pumpkin! I'll be carving it 2 days before Halloween and will def post photos of that [and other decos]! Btw, we never use candles here for that. We use the battery-op flickering night lights. They make them for restrooms and usually have scented oils but I just leave the oil out! :D They stay lit all night!

Thanks, I thought it came out poorly. Glad you can tell what it is. No special meaning. Scary ultra violence of the droogs plus a Kubrick fan.:lurk::08:

I think it looks way cool Guerich. My ex-boyfriend used to be artisitic like you and would carve scary scenes in our pumpkins, instead of just the usual Jack-o-Latern faces. Thanks again for showing. I think it's super. ;)

Ok, prepare to be scared sh*tless!

The volume isn't too great though, so be sure to turn it up real loud and watch closely...

Re: All-Hallows-Eve!!! (Halloween)

Sweet photos guyz! :D The Halloween poem I promised is finally finished. Poems are def not easy and it took 7 of us to write this one. Hope you enjoy it! Poster first:

Day Before Halloween

Twas the day before Halloween and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring except some witch in a hat.
Her stockings were hung by the chimney... NO! WRONG!
So I grabbed the fire extinguisher and hid her bong!
Well, everyone else was Nestle Kwik'd or bombed outa their heads
while these weird wind-up spiders danced over their beds.
And mom in a stupor and dad in a rant
called Animal Control, screaming something about bats!
When out in the yard there was such a weird clatter
I sprang from the sofa to see who got hammered!
Over toys and a downed bar stool I flew like a shot [Huh!?]
and opened the patio doors while dad called the cops.
And yeah, the moon made sparkles all over the snow...
Snow!? I must be bombed! We dont get snow in October!
Anyway, what to my "wtf!?" eyes should appear!?
[well, it def wasn't a Lamborghini or Brooklyn Decker!]

Brief Intermission

A truck full of zombies & weapons, 2 guyz & 2 girlz!

Well, that guy Tallahassee was so lively and kwik
Everyone dressed as a zombie was screaming "holy s**t!"

[a moment of silence for Bill Murray]
More rapid than snails, zombies swarmed all over the house
and Columbus actually shot one that was biting a mouse!
But while I tried to explain about discharging firearms in city limits
An animal activist grabbed a sack with a trophy in it.
And with each new explosion the house was filling up with ghosts
harassing the zombies and spraying everyone with cokes!
But then in a twinkling [a what!?], I heard on the roof
the prancing & pawing of each heavy boot!
While dad googled "roofers" and Krista grabbed another round,
down the chimney came the swat team with a major bound!
They were dressed up in body armor from their heads to their toes
and looked like a pack of really nasty Iron Man clones!
Well, their eyes didn't twinkle and their dimples weren't exactly merry
and their cheeks [lol!] weren't like roses... did someone say "cherry"? lmao!
Well, their drooling little mouths were def drawn up like bows
when Brooklyn Decker stepped in outa the snow!
Well, we wont go into what was clenched tightly in their teeth [def not pipes, lol!]
But those ghosts were def circling their heads like wreaths!
When onto the roof flew the weirdest new sight,
Harry Potter on the hypogriff holding a large bag really tight!
He dropped down the chimney and opened his sack
and grinned while the house filled up with vampire bats!
While mom googled "exterminators" up the chimney he went
zapping zombies with a magical pipe wrench

[Hey! It worked, lol! :o]
Well, he sprang to the hypogriff and gave a loud whistle
and away he flew with the bats, ghosts, and Krista!

[Columbus is def not happy, lol!]
But I heard him exclaim as he flew out of sight,
"Happy Halloween!" and "I'll be back when you guyz learn to write."

Oooooooh. :o Well, an "E" for Effort? :o LOL!

The Hollyberry Lady 10-28-2010 01:16 AM

Re: All-Hallows-Eve!!! (Halloween)

Definitely an "E" for effort, Cory! :08:

It was kinda funny actually, in a ridiculous sort of way! I laughed when you came out with "Harry Potter" ...how absurd! :ha:

Anyway, thanks for sharing it with us. :)

JustJoan...

Sorry about that! Someone scared the living daylights out of me with that too! It draws you right in. The key is to turn it up nice and loud. :ha:

LOL! Sherry, you really had to be there! :D It was like playing a game. We used "Twas the night before Christmas" as a model and everybody got to help write different parts of it. It was tons of fun [def more fun to write than read, lol!].
And yeah, I was rolling when Chris wanted Harry Potter, LOL! :D
Love your "Keep Out" Jack-o-Lantern! :)

Janan, that's just totally fricken awesome! Hats off to you, for one cool Jack-o-Lantern! :08:

Thank you for letting us see too! :03:

Cory, it really was kinda funny and gave me a chuckle. I've done that with friends before too and made up silly songs and poems, so I know how it is. Thanks a lot for sharing it with us.
