![]() Hello,
I'm in the San Diego area and I got a 'White Giant' (supposed to get huge with white spots in leaves) cultivar of Z. A. last fall and here's it's spring and it never has taken off. I live in a climate where Z. As are evergreen and blooming year round. Last fall it started to have a bloom come out and then it aborted... The bloom just didn't come out any further and then died. It grows a leaf much slower than regular Aethiopicas and it seems that with every new leaf, an old leaf turns yellow and dies. Something is wrong...rot? compacted soil? It gets mostly morning sun until 12 or so, should be perfect. It's in a large container. I'm thinking about transplanting it while it's still early in the season, check the tuber and replant in new soil. I wanted to check here first though. Thanks! Z |
