white bird of paridise or travels palm? which do i really have?
i bought this plant unter the name of a white bird of paridise but i am not sure it is, all the other wbop's i see are different, they have long leaf stalks and the leafs seem thin, tender and very green rubber like. my plant the leafs are thick, cardboard/leather like short leaf stalks dark purple stalk/psutostem. is mine just a different varieity? or a travelers palm? it is actually in zone 8b seattle protected from our few snow days. does good all alone otherwise. had it 2 yrs in april planted in ground outside. |
