I've got a few Kiwi sprouting (thanks to you Cameron!):

And this is my Kumquat orchard this morning!

I started a few more citrus seeds a few days ago and the seeds are already starting to open!

Do you have any new leaves on the mystery sprout yet Sherry?

No true leaves just yet but here's how the mystery sprout looks tonight...

It'll likely develop more leaves next week, but no doubt it's building a root system right now.

Guess what?!

Beth (lorax) on another site, tells me my mystery sprout is a Jack-in-the-Pulpit (Arum) sprout!!!

I did sow some seeds for it awhile back but forgot which pot I had them in. Another guy on the site confirmed it and said he definitely thinks it's an Arum seedling too. How totally cool!

I opened up a baggy that I had forgotten about and had sprouts in it. I had three different kinds of seeds in it and two of the three have popped. One set is a golden bell pepper, the other were passi seeds of which none popped, and I have to check the original bag for the other. They were all in the same coffee filter but very distinctive looking, so I didn't have to worry about mixing them up.

Sprouts are so stinking cute to me! ~J

Thumbs up Re: What'cha got sprouting? (other plants)

Very cool JaNan...always fun finding forgotten sprouts!

Here's my little araesima triphyllum seedling this morning!!! It looked as though it had spider mite damage and I panicked while checking it over thoroughly. Not even one was present though so I can't explain the reason for the white specks on the leaves.

What's even more cool is that a 2nd sprout is coming up and you can see it to the right in the photo...

I must have given up on the seeds or forgot about these ones when I planted the holly cutting. Here's the sprout from the back...

I often do that, if seeds don't come up for me...I just sow other seeds over top of them in hopes that someday one will sprout unexpectedly. This is a classic example. I am so thrilled that a 2nd seedling is now emerging! How cool is that?!

A better shot so you can see my 2nd Araesima Triphyllum (Jack-in-the-Pulpit) seedling emerging. It takes a year in cold soil for these little guys to germinate so I'm very happy to see them!

Wow! That second little guy came up fast since yesterday!

I bought this at Home Depot:

I like sprouts on salads, and in pitas and sandwiches. So I thought I would give this a try. I'll let you all know how it goes - they are supposed to be ready to eat in 2 - 7 days.

Oh yes I love sprouts too JaNan and have grown them before as well. You're in for some tasty sandwiches and salads! Cool kit!

I just sowed some Osmin Dark Red Basil, Ruby Red Lettuce, and Baby Star mini-Romaine in a pot. Hope they sprout soon...

Oh and here are those two "Jack-in-the-Pulpit" seedlings that took a year to sprout, looking totally adorable today...

Apparently these plants like deep shade so I intend to keep them in the bathroom for awhile, where they will enjoy afternoon shading. Too cool they came up after all this time!

Let me go take a pic. They're really small though just noticed them today.

Faster than my palm seeds!

Cool, when did you plant them?

I have one that's about 7 inches tall I planted last year.
