Two differet varieties of Guava,Passiflora caerulea,a passion vine I don't recognize could be a hybrid from caerulea,Poppy

it's a happy time when your weeds are mostly spendy nursery plants!

we are debating how many springeri (fern) volunteers we need at the moment, and already know we have too many mangos, palms of all sort, and yes...bananas!

an embarrassment of riches

now, if I can get sweet corn to grow...ahhhhh, Mexico!

While weeding around the pool equipment I noticed a volunteer Japanese Aralia. It was carefully potted up to be appropriately placed in the landscape.

i have a couple plastic totes filled with potting mix and a layer of bark.Any fruit pitts,used seed starting mix,extra seed or seed from fruit in my garden get thrown in the tote and covered with bark.I've got all kinds of plants sprouting,some bananas that did not sprout first time around

It's not bird of paridise. It is a lily of some kind. I bought this plant two years ago and couldn't get it to grow. Threw soil and all into a pile with other soil. When I planted the Butia I needed extra soil and the corm sprouted.
