Never encountered this before moving to FL. What are the white swirls? What do I need to do?

Feel free to drop by, I may not be home, so just make enough noise in the back yard so the dogs know you are there and they will come greet (or eat) you.

Kat2, if you are ever down near my neighborhood, send me a PM or email in advance, I will show you the yard. Not much fruiting right now other than the jaboticaba, but later in the year (June, July) I might get you to change your mind about Dragon Fruit. :ha:

Maybe leaf miners? Try fertilizing just a tad more to promote more foliage and hope for the best. Leaf miners don't attack the fruit. Or, get out the spray (pick your poison!).

I was kidding about dropping by Friday. Bad form to invite yourself though feeding your dogs might make it more acceptable--to you--not me. You seem to have quite a few interesting plants and seeing them in "action" would be fun. However, unless homemade dragon fruit tastes substantially different than those sold at the Asian markets, my mind is made up.

According to 1 site you should pluck off the affected leaves and put them in the trash; I did so. So far they've discovered only 1 plant. I know I need to fertilize; the compost I have is still sprouting mushrooms so it's not nearly done cooking. And I'll spray everything with Neem since that was also recommended.

I read this on the internet....do not let them near your skin ....they bore in it....just saying...skin miners, really I saw it on the TV...

Hmmmmm.. Worm farmer close by also...

Could be a small get together......I'll bring the bs.

Maybe I'll have to wear gloves in FL. Apparently I should have when I captured an adult and a baby caterpillar though I didn't touch them; I "twigged" the odd looking creatures into a container then researched my find. Tussocks! They can give you a rash.

I'm up for an informal mid Brevard County garden tour; set the date and I'll be here. Who can resist plant viewing and BS? Not I.
