Sugar apple is a different Annona species.
Cherimoya has been linked to Atypical Parkinson's disease, although you would need to eat on average 4 fruits every month of the year. I won't eat them, and I don't recommend them to anyone. However, I would acknowledge that Cherimoya is one of the best tasting tropical fruits in the world.

Thanks, Richard.
This is the first time I heard such claim. There're lots interest debate about it.
Anyway, I guess I'll have to give up.

Everything is dangerous these days. I usually have 1-2 when down in Peru. Usually 2+ years between visits. Started growing one but it didn't make it indoors during the winter.
