Re: Succulents & Cacti...
Those are beautiful Janan. My red one didn't bloom this year but it put out a lot of growth and the plant looks very lush and full. Hopefully next year It will bloom.

Re: Succulents & Cacti...
Beautiful Thanksgiving cacti, Janan!
Ok so here are the little pink buds on my Jade plant!!! They're plastered all over the plant... I'll show them again when they open. A few already did but I missed getting the shot before they dropped. I will soon. : ) |

Re: Succulents & Cacti...
Very cool How big is the whole plant? I have never heard of one flowering indoors like that, maybe mine will when they get bigger.

Re: Succulents & Cacti...
I thought it was pretty special that it bloomed too, Jordan. The plant started out as stubby little cuttings from a garden pal in Oklahoma. It's now 2 years old and 8-10 inches tall. It's rootbound too.

Re: Succulents & Cacti...
Found out recently that my "Agave" that was in bloom, is actually an Aloe! I look forward to it blooming again!

Re: Succulents & Cacti...
Hi Drew. Yes I mentioned that in post #419. I believe it is an Aloe Aristata, the blooms look right!

Re: Succulents & Cacti...
Here is a salmon colored Thanksgiving cactus that is opened this morning:
Those pink buds sure are pretty! And that sticks on fire looks so thick. I always thought they were a spindly looking cactus, but not yours of course Sherry!

Re: Succulents & Cacti...
Very nice, Janan!
Keep in mind there were 10 cuttings in one pot and Bob gave them to me a year ago. The sticks have grown considerably since then, but they were kind of spindly for awhile there. I should have turned the pot around because the side that's facing the window and the sunshine has some sticks that have turned that beautiful red/peach color! : ) |

Re: Succulents & Cacti...
Those are really pretty delicate little blooms on your jade Sherry!
Here's a yellow Thanksgiving cactus (at first I thought this was going to be pink because the buds look pink): The smaller white one blooming now: ~J
