Default spacing for E.gunni

hi

i have this small piece of border it's 3 foot by 3 foot and the total spacing is 2M2 metre , i planted a eucalyptus gunni here
will it spread too much ?
will it lift the street nearby ?

or should i cut it down each year to keep it in shrubby form.

this piece of land in the front yard is really small and close to the street, what do you recommend ; removal ?

LOL...then why respond to a post that's 8 months old with no information??

I don't think that Eucalyptus roots are that much of a threat to do damage to a sidewalk, but they do grow into very large trees.

If the fellow who originally posted stops by the site occasionally, it's nice to see at least 1 answer!! LOL

That's why I answered. If it's new member, what kind of impression are we giving not to respond? So, I am doing my best to get people to join and to stay. If they get an email notification of a reply, it might bring them back. It might also increase our subscriptions to the magazine.
Nuff said?

I agree, Howard! When Scot last made a run of the unanswered post, I was irritated, don't know why, just got under my skin. It was probably some hateful part of my subconscious telling me that it was just annoying. I'm glad he does this though. perhaps the person who started the original threads will become active members once they've seen that their question has been answered. Or,at the least, it'll make their day. Both are good in my book. I just wonder,Scot, why you didn't do this last week when it was so boring around here. :P

Thanks for taking the time to consider my motivation. It is just a reflection of how I would feel being ignored. Without all of our members, we have nothing. To grow is to make it fun to visit the site.

The bigger picture is the magazine. The more our membership might patronize a sponsor, the more likely the sponsor is to keep sponsoring us.

One of the people that posted is an expert in banana plant pathology like Scot Nelson. He posted a link to his website in India. No one replied to his post. Do you think he is still active, probably not. Such a shame to have talent go by the wayside.

There were some posts that I appreciate why no replies were given. I did not revive them.

I don't disagree with what you're saying, but it just seems like you could at least have something meaningful to add to the thread.

I'm not trying to make you angry, Scot! There is no malice in my tone when I'm writing this! That's why I wrote "LOL" to start off my post.

I guess it's not doing any harm, and you have some good points. I don't like it when my posts go unanswered either, but I'm not going to take my ball and go home because of it. I suppose if you have the time and inclination to go through all of the unanswered posts, go for it!

Peace?

Frank

That is a good point!!! Guess because I want to give and get information about plants and not just a blurb of for a response... If I pose a question to folks, I don't want someone responding that they don't know. If I don't know the answer to a question someone is asking, I learned a long time ago to let someone who does answer it and learn from what information they have to share. If I simply responded to every question asked, I would show my lack of intelligence but be rich in bananabucks... (HHHMMM, now that is a thought, trade lack of knowledge for riches!!!)
As far as asking a question, just because I didn't get the answer it would not keep me from asking another, or visiting a site that I frequent and I thought I could learn from... Just my humble opinion, which I know, ain't worth much... And to borrow a phrase from Mr. Gump, "that is all I have to say about that"!!!
