Re: Sharps Blue Blueberries
I have three Tifblue I got last November. They came about 5ft tall already and already gave me about 50 blueberries this year (mostly eaten by birds). I hope for a large enough batch next year to bother protecting them. They are kind stressed with the heat and lack of rain this summer but still don't look too bad.

Re: Sharps Blue Blueberries
They look nice Richard. Just out of curiosity how long do you think it'll take for them to reach maturity? Every year I keep saying I'm going to get a couple bushes next year and I never do!
Congrats on such a nice looking order! Deb |
Re: Sharps Blue Blueberries
Hi Deb, it is good to hear from you! I estimate that they will be full size in 2.5 years. Hmm ... I might have to tear out one of my rose beds to plant a row of them! The remainder I will sell at the farmers' markets for $5 each in 4-inch pots, then $10 each next year in 2-3 gallon pots.

Re: Sharps Blue Blueberries
I thought you need to have two differnt types of blue berry's if you want them to produce a lot of fruit. I currently have three different types Jewl, Bright Well and Fl Native High bush.
This is a low chill type, would you be willing to ship any? |

The Sharps Blue (aka Sharpsblue) do well in multiple plantings of itself here in southern California. It ranks among the best in blind taste tests. Quote:
