Seedy Babacos?
Here's a question for all you other Babaco growers out there - have you ever encountered a fruit with seeds in it? I ended up with one from the market yesterday, and duly picked them out to see if I can sprout them.
It was my understanding that since they're a sport hybrid, they're not fertile, but obviously I was wrong about that. My other wonder is what the pollen parent was. Do you think I have a chance of sprouting these if I plant them, or is it just a waste of dirt? |

Re: Seedy Babacos?
I never had seeds in my babaco until I planted a solo papaya next to it and it flowered. The seeds did not germinate, but I did not try very hard.
