I redid, more like added, to the side yard this year. It all started in January when I layed down cardboard in the planting area. Then I have slowly mulched it and planted it. The side is now planted with Caladiums which due to our recent weather have went dormant. They are now pushing up new leaves. There is last years stuff all down the side returning including; Japanese Holly Fern(died down to ground but started pushing up new fronds even in cool weather), Musa Basjoo and Colocasia 'Black Pearl'.

'Black Pearl' has been the surprise for me. It has really spread and made a new patch and sprouted up weeks before 'Pink China' which is suppose to be the hardiest. Even in the recent cooler weather 'Black Pearl' has continued to push uop new plants.

New to the side:
-Japanese Maple(Purchused from a Kroger which is surprising since they normally carry smaller plants)

The ones with an astrix are not in the picture below. This picture is already a few weeks old, but I really wanna show you guys the area.

The above picture is a few weeks old as I already said, so stuff has already filled in more. The path down the middle has stepping stones. It will be a junlgle I hope by the end of the summer. Lol.
