My Super Market Tops are Monster plants compared to the one's flowering. I believe the healthier the plant the better fruit your going to get.. That's why I'm not inducing them to fruit, but the thought has crossed my mind.. :^)

Nice! I just spotted a bloom in my variegated pineapple.... Has anyone found those to be edible? I read somewhere that they are really tart, but I was wonderkng if I left it on for a while maybe it would sweeten up a little... Nonetheless, I love the looks of it and it will he good to have another top and some suckers

If it looks like this? It says it has some edibility and other information on the plant, but is mostly ornamental, since the fruit is small.. :^)

Lookin' good! I'm jealous of the size of your plants. I got my first one to flower this year, and expect several next year, after that I should be rolling in the things. I work at a grocery store and we prepare cut fruit in house, so I often take home boxes full of tops. I've got over 100 strewn about the yard .

If you ever want that many, I recommend you ask your local produce department to save them for you.

Curious to know if anyone has found it to be true that suckers and/or slips mature and flower faster than the tops? I've heard properly planted suckers can bear fruit in as "little" as 18 months.
