Re: Passiflora
You are right about the coronas, the orange one has no white in the corona, but the larger plant does have white. Is it possible that it is still a hybrid, but just exhibits the traits of the P. vitifolia parent? I'm not stuck on the hybrid aspect either way, I wanted P. vitifolia at some point anyway.

Tks for that link. Lots of banana pictures, but not much info on the varieties they were. The Koa'e (Ae Ae) and Iholena plants were pretty obvious, but the others could be anything. Last edited by Yug : 07-11-2012 at 08:27 AM. |

Re: Passiflora
OK, since the incarnata is so successful that I have to kill it off before it devours the entire house and garden, are there any other possibilities for zone 7a that are less obstreperous? Cerulea seems to go like crazy too. Otherwise I have to just put out in pots so I can easily move them inside for the winter.

Re: Passiflora
Passiflora Piresii - vine is considerably larger with darker healthier looking leaves. Continues t
to crank out blooms, but never see any sign of fruit. Maybe needs another plant to breed with. Last edited by Yug : 08-06-2012 at 10:00 PM. |
