Default Papaya help.

Last week we had three days with frost in my zone 8a. My papaya is 6ft and had grown roots out of its pot 3-4ft away from itself. So I did my best getting all its roots out of the ground to bring it into my garage. 2-3 pieces of some separate roots broke off. We potted it up in a larger pot with brand new soil. It’s been in my garage ever since the colder days with grow lights and a steady night temp of 60 for a low. It has a bunch of flowers, new growth, fruit. All the older leaves just wilted and went crunchy so removed them. Center is still green but noticed some of the fresh new leaves are looking wilted and tips are drying out. Flowers look shocked now too. I have watered it a few times until water comes out the bottom of the pot. Nothing is turning yellow so not overwatering it but am I not watering it enough? Or is this just normal shock.

Last Saturday temps went back into the upper 70’s and lows at night in the 55-60 range. Thought about putting it back out in the shade but didn’t know if that would shock it more? I’ve read where some claim they don’t like being transplanted and others say we always just dig them up and plant somewhere else when to big or we air layer them. So they can’t be that fragile of a tree if air layering works. I dug it up on a cooler day when it was in the shade from the sun also. Thanks for any help!
