Default Palms in Glasgow

I just heard from a friend of mine in Glasgow that a lot of the Palms there died over the winter. She doesn't know much about Palms, but I heard abou it from here. Can any of you tell me more about this? What kinds are they? Did they die, or will they come back? How cold was it there this past winter? Maybe they had a hard cold snap like Florida did.

Don't know any details - but the UK had its coldest and most prolonged winter for about 40 years - so this probably accounted for her palms sadly!

Oh, Cassie, they might be about to have even tougher and more damaging winter this year. Thanks to the ashes.
