Overwintering EE's

Ok, I really need some help here. I have spent the last several nights looking for the best way to overwinter my Illustris and my Black Magic EE. I also have an unknown from Wal Mart but it is in a 20 gallon pot and there is no way to move that sucker. One place says one thing and then when I go someplace else they say another. I read every post at garden web on the ariod forum about Alocasias, Colocasias and Xanthosomas. I think I’m more confused now then when I started. I know my eyes and head are killing me now.
Both are in 5 gallon pots and doing well. I also have a couple of babies potted up. I was just going to put them in my parents root cellar which stays above freezing and is dry but then I read that it would be too cold and they need some water. Then I thought about trying to keep them in my plant room but I’m not sure there will be enough light. I do have a basement but it is finished and heated. My son’s room is down there and that is also where I do my seed starting in the winter so I’m thinking it would be too warm. Is this hopeless, or do I have a chance of keeping them alive. I live in mid Missouri and it is almost time to do something with them.

HELP!!
Jane
