Default Olive Trees

Anybody have any recommendations, links, advice, experience about olive trees suitable for Gulf Coast 9a zone? I don't know anything about olives other than some are green and some are black. I llke black olives more.

I got some really good info. from a couple members in a recent cold hardy avocado thread which led me to purchase a Lila Avocado. Hoping this thread goes as well!

Thanks!

Not sure about your local varieties but i would choose local one for begging. On other side you can't grow green and black varieties. It's just about ripening stage , all are green in beginning.
Maybe bayou can find some informations in my old thread
If U dont know what to do with yourself ;)
