Hi Cassie, isn't it just the silence before another storm hits? Your hurricane season lasts 'til late October, isn't it so?

Jack - officially the season for the caribbean is June 1 to end November. But generally in our area it doesn't start until the end of September - South America, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico get the early stuff. When the weather systems boil off Africa low down in the South Atlantic - then we know they are coming our way. Due to the earth's rotation, at the moment they are coming off the African coast too high up and just shoot up the middle of the North Atlantic (or over Florida and the Bahamas if they are unlucky).

Hope you dont get hit with a bad one this year but..... I seem to recall you usually have the best parties after the storms pass down there!

No, but when I had first joined Island Cassie had been through a hurricane and I think was without power. She posted some stunning shots of a party they had on the beach with a big fire and it looked like a blast. Might as well make the best of things
