Is my Coconut Palm tree okay or dead?

I had overwintered my palm tree in my house. Yes I had only used peat moss. Big mistake. Anyway all winter the tree did nothing. I believe I took it back outside in June. So far the tree has done nothing again. I know this is bad...but I just got to putting it in a new container with good soil. What can I say I’ve been slow to do stuff this summer! :ha: So please take a look at the pictures to see for yourselves and let me know what you think! Thanks in advance!

I don’t know, coconut palms love heat and sunshine. Here they stop growing and look bad in the winter. You will have to wait and see, if it hasn’t done anything yet it might not :0493:

Take a photo of you lawn.......And soil.

That will help diagnose a possible issue with the growth of your plant

It looks alive to me . Green at the crown and white on the roots. I would use coarse sand mixed with the peat moss in the future. I’m no expert .

Thanks for the encouragement! I am genuinely now more positive about the outlook for the tree! :0519:
