mexican lime tree

I purchased a lime tree in the early spring, now it has "buds" on it and is flowering. My question is what type of fertilizer should I put on it and how often? It is in a container on my deck.

Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom, I use Miracle Grow 'all purpose'. It is 24-8-16 & about the perfect ratio for citrus. I see it all the time at HD

The Miracle Gro 24-8-18 is an excellent formula for Citrus. The HD over on North Port Washington sells a 5 lb box for about $9 -- a good value. For further savings check your local Farm supply store which sells 25 lb bags of the same or 30-10-20 with micros for about $25 each.

Oh yeah, the micros are very important!
