Does anyone here grow Malabar Spinach? Does it taste like regular spinach? Is it worth growing...I got a few seeds?

I don't really think it tastes like regular spinach but it is good. What I've grown here as Malabar Spinach grows very vine-like and vigorously throughout the hot summer months. We had two plants in one of our gardens where I work and they about took the bed over. You can either cook them or eat it raw like a salad green, though is does tend to be a bit slimy when you tear it up, sort of like okra can be.

I grew it years ago and didn't much care for the taste, but I do like spinach, fresh or cooked.

I grew it a few years back and it did have a different flavor. I tend to agree with the slimy part but it's not as slimy as okra or cactus though. I wonder if you put a bit of lemon juice with it maybe it would cut the slime? It grew fairly vigorously for me as a vine though when it got really hot, it slowed down.
