Joy Look What I Did Omgosh

I live on the Oregon coast and was told that with My weather i could not grow Tropicals. I Planted the seed and look fruit before 5 yrs cant wait until next yr this is a Red Ruby Grape fruit 1 if 6 the others are smaller but i thought id share . My other hobby

I did not expect it yet but i found this watering yesterday

well done

it looks great.

Ruby reds or at least the ones we get in Australia get a pink flush on the rind when they are ready and your one has no sign of that yet.

Unfourtanetly grapefruit is a cross between sweet orange and pumelo and so what you have may revert to whole array of possibly fabulous citrus plant between those two or something very average. but of the picture it looks tasty.

Let us know what it tastes like when you pick it

Omgosh i forgot about this Thread you have all helped me

That same tree has over 100 fruits its the grapefruit and i dont eat grape fruit but it was SO GOOD

someone stold 4 of my trees this yr Pots and all sad very sad

anyway lemons and oranges doing awesome just cant believe they got 3 of my favs
leaving the pumello,grapefruit and lisban looks like i start again. I did post the theft on craigs list . i hope they choke on them and if they have kids they get Nurishment they need cause people like that normally dont care enough to take good care of their kids

Thats really too bad about people stealing your plants. I just dont get some people. I sometimes get worried this will happen to me also since I have a lot of plants in pots, but so far no thefts. If people wanted plants, all they would have to do is ask. I have plenty I could give them or take an air layer/cutting of others for them. Best of luck regrowing your collection.
