Longan Cuttings?

Does anyone out there know how to root longan cuttings or anything similar like lychee? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Longan Cuttings?

If they're hardwood cuttings, then dip them in some hardwood rooting compound and pot them up in a sterile, well-drained medium. No idea whether softwood or greenwood cuttings of Longan would root or not; here when we propagate we take established twigs.

Conversely, if you have an existing Lychee or Longan trees, you can also graft your current cuttings onto the established tree.

Re: Longan Cuttings?

Lychee and Longan trees are generally reproduced by air layering.
It is best to try during the springtime when the plants are more active.
