Thanks. Trying to conserve space and do something fun and interesting for the kids. Using panty hose to support the heavier varieties as they grow.

the 2 larger varieties are but the smaller sugar babies are in 7 gallon pots.

Next year I am just going to build a grow box that runs the length of the fence line at the top and ad some cantaloupe and honeydew...

will build the grow box out of heavy duty ground cover cloth though... with only frame support for the bottom and for the top...

wow iv never seen them grown that way and i thought i was lucky having three melons this year but i am in NV so i dont know whats posibal

I have 6 kids and they have lots of friends that are always at our house, there are always 10-12 kids over here most of the time... could grow 50 watermelons and they won't last long! hahahah

I also have been hand pollinating them because bee activity has been so low this year! I have been seriously consider getting my own hive or 2...
