I like seeing the pics. You wrapped them up in plastic? Or is that tape?

Dean:
They are grafting tape that you can buy through the internet for about $2.00 a roll. I choose that because it is biodegradable. Once the graft takes about 3 to 5 weeks it disintegrates itself. But you can use any tape you want even electrical tape but I believe the take will decrease.

Success! I was able to graft a seedless Kishu mandarin to a Chandler pomello. This mandarin is one of my favorites for its sweetness and juicyness. The other favorite of mine is the Clemenule from Spain. Another out of this world taste.

Congratulations! Does the Chandler would boost production in the Mandarins?

I really don't know Richard.
I am all doing it for fun. Just trial and error method. I found out that Chandler pomello is the most compatible variety to graft with mandarins. Boosting production is a different matter. I noticed though that the clemenules flowered early. It flowered on the next year's graft but they all aborted once the fruit were the size of BB's. Hopefully next year some will grow to maturity. But I enjoyed the flower's fragrance.
