A lot of people don't realize just how fragrant petunia flowers can be....particularly in the evenings when they release their sweet scent. Not all of them smell but the purple or white types are your best bet if you're looking for fragrance. This type is one of my favorites and just last night my bedroom had the nicest smell wafting through it because I have them growing and blooming in my bedroom window...

Petunia plants are easy to get seeds from. The leaves are sticky so when the seedpods burst, they literally throw tiny black seeds everywhere and they stick to the leaves making them easy to collect.
