Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
They look like adorable little green baby butts! So cute!!! :ha:
What is the Jolly Green Giants' little friend's name? Is it Sprout? Little baby Sprout's butts! :ha: Take some toothpicks and attach the Johnny Nardello's on there for legs, a yellow squash up side down for the torso. Let's see a petunia blossom for a tu tu skirt. A Little Blue pepper for the head. Some burrito succulent for the hair on the head. I need some help for the arms (maybe some curly noodles). Anyway, I can just about picture this in my head. :ha: Can you? |
Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
You are too funny, JaNan. Tell me something...have they confirmed your reservation at the nuthouse yet?! :ha:
Oh I'm still laughing at this post. You called them 'Johnny Nardello', but it's 'Jimmy Nardello'! :ha: I just can't wait to see what color they'll ripen to when they're done growing. I never have good luck with mixes or get the color I want but I was hoping they'd turn out chocolate colored because they're not so common. I'll enjoy them no matter what but it would be nice to get some cool ones that you don't see too often. Fingers crossed. : ) |

:ha::ha::ha:
Oh didn't I tell you I escaped from there YEARS ago! :ha::ha::ha::ha: That's what I'm here for, (OK now picture Natalie Wood as Gypsy Rose Lee singing "Let Me Entertain You!") :ha::ha::ha::ha: |
Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
Only you would be picturing these things. I just thought they were cute, but you took it to a whole other level!!! :ha:

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
I have a very vivid imagination. Greg just came in and asked me what I was laughing at so I read him our last couple of posts. Of course he got to see the "LIVE" version and by the time I was singing "Let Me Entertain You" he was laughing too. I told him only he got to "see" it though. :ha::ha::ha::ha:
I have been drinking peach iced tea all afternoon so I am all wired up! Figures since everyone else is tired. |
Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
Now you've got me wanting to make one, just so I can see it. :ha: It would be cute though.

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
Well. except for the hair, you could make a salad out of if after you took pictures of it for me to see! Let's see, what edible would make good hair. How about a little Angel Hair pasta? Then you could make some wings with lettuce or chard and have yourself an edible ANGEL!!!!! YEAH!
Oh, if it has turned into an angel don't forget the halo! A little tiny onion ring! WooHoo!:woohoonaner: |
Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
Ok, enough silliness. :ha:
Check out Blake's "chilly" chili plant today... ![]() Actually, it's about 7 plants in one small pot but they are short and dwarf-like so it looks like one plant. The peppers are killer hot. : ) |
Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
I was told banana pups don't even have to have roots to cut them from the mother and that they can still survive. This will be a experiment...
![]() It's a Super Dwarf Cavendish. Let's see what happens... : ) |

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
That looks like you could EAT it!!! Wow that is pretty. And you had no idea it was going to look like that? Is this something you bred, Sherry?

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
The seed came from a mix but it didn't mention anything about there being any variegated types! I was so shocked and amazed when the buds started to open. Some of the petals have stripes, while others are speckled. I've never had one like this before. How totally cool!
I can save lots of seeds and share them, so I'll be sure you get some too, JaNan! :D : ) |
Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
Ok here they are going into full bloom beside my 'fish' pepper plant...

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
Very pretty and cheerful! How is your little Super Dwarf Cavendish without roots doing pictured below? Did it make it and grow roots? I have a Truly Tiny rooting in the AG. It's growing a little, but slowly. They grow slow anyway.

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
It was rooting Janan, but it died while I was away! :(
Yes, the color of 'berry smoothie' is so bright and cheerful looking. It's an easy-to-grow plant and there are other colors too. : ) |
Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers
This is my lovely lemon/lime colored "June" perennial Hosta...
