I have changed the name of this thread, so I could include both my indoor and outdoor plants.

Jack, I've never heard of it either, and had a hard time getting information on it. I wonder if it was mislabeled or something. The seeds do look like banana seeds, so it will be interesting to see what it turns out to be.

Yes, Patty, I was so surprised to recieve the seeds and most especially the Ylang Ylang Perfume Tree ones! I am trying to germinate some, but they take 3 months to sprout, so we'll see...

Just bought some new plants last night. Never usually buy store-bought plants, but couldn't resist when they're this gorgeous, so I bought two new additions. Here is how the back door looks now...

My new 'Tiger Eye Gold' Rudbeckia (Black Eyed Susan)

Close-up of plants - you can see my other Basjoo pup. See how it isn't as big and nice as my indoor one? It is starting to look better now though, and growing a bit more...

My new 'White Swan' Echinacea Coneflowers...

Oh yeah, by the way, Patty...

Yes, I have a 4 foot long fluorescent fixture, as well as a 400 W metal halide HID lamp, with a warm deluxe SunMaster full-spectrum bulb.

I hope they get bigger before Christmas (P.S: Central Slavic tradition is to eat carp and other fish on Christmas. ).

Um...

Sorry to disappoint, Jack, but I think these little guys are just minnows! Someone from another forum caught a fish for his pond and found out it was a baby big mouth bass!!!

: O

I wish!

It's only about 3 inches long right now, and it's so cute. Anyway...

I was so worried that my fish would be hungry that I got some fish food and gave it to them, but now it's turned my what was once crystal clear water, into the murky unsightliness you see before you. I am told that the murky water will not hurt the fish and so far it hasn't.

They really don't need my food anyway, because they eat the algae and floating bugs too. I am told the water will clear off in a few days. The fish eat the mesquito larvae and keep the pond clean...

Things are now improving, considerably...

My pond water has completely cleared off, and my fish are still living! Even though they're hiding, check out the pond and how crystal clear the water is now...

: O

My other plants aren't doing too bad either.

By the way...

I just recently received seeds for a wonderful pepper variety called 'Black Pearl". It is extremely ornamental and edible too. My seedlings only just sprouted recently, but here is how the plant will look!

: O

The more sun it receives, the blacker the leaves. What an unbelievably cool looking plant! Who would ever guess it's a pepper?!!!

This is my very tiny three 'black pearl' seedlings just coming up. They are such a rich purple color - I've never seen anything like them...

If you don't know by now that I am an absolute pepperaholic, then you have still not been paying any attention! I am planning an indoor ornamental pepper fest this Fall and Winter, so I hope you like pepper pics because there will be tons of them in this thread!

Although I love to eat both hot and sweet peppers, I love to grow them mostly for their ornamental beauty. Here is another gorgeous type I am germinating right now, called 'Numex Twilight'...

Also germinating this beauty called 'Peach Habanero"...

Last but not least, I am sprouting this stunning variety called 'Numex Centennial'...

Everything looks very nice. Good job on growing your lotus. I started growing water lilies in 1981. It is an obsession with me now. I love the bunny. I have two but they are outside in a hutch.
