![]() Does anyone know when they are ready? My trees were loaded this year, but the squirrels went to work on them, when the outer skin was still green. I picked a bunch of them at that time, just to keep the squirrels from getting ALL of them. But, I didn't know if they were ripe. (The squirrels get all the nuts, the slugs get the strawberries, the birds get the cherries, etc.)

![]() My chickens got my whole garden and the grapes. And the ducks have found the dried corn. they are jumping up& down trying to knock the ears off the stalks.
Oh well I have to plant collards soon to feed the chickens & duck during the winter. |
