I add just a few additional minerals. They get big.
I am also growing cassava as I see you are too.

Due to the bad conditions I have not really gotten any roots so far. I will try planting with the manure. Do you think zoysia grass would work? How do you prepare cassava?

I noticed that good soil was less an issue when its grown in shade.
With the cassava, once the roots get large enough you can prepare them several ways. I peel them, then slice
and boil them until almost finished. They become more opaque once close. After, I drain the water completely, then fry them golden brown and crisp. A bit of salt and garlic powder and they taste very good.

My first real harvest of malanga! Woot!

This isn’t from two plants. One isn’t the green kind, the other is the red. Red has been there longer so more root.

Some cassava

Does anyone have a source to purchase red malanga root to grow? I am only able to find white malanga locally.
