Default A fantastic deal on heliconia

I bought a flat rate box of Heliconia latispatha Bentham Orange Gyro rhizomes for $12 plus $9 shipping on e-bay. eBay Store - Pocket Paradise: Heliconia, Art and Oil Paintings, Neomarica Longifolia Iris
The rhyzomes are HUGE and were dug the day they were shipped. Two of them poked out new growth from the stalks while they were in transit through the mail. I wish I had taken a picture before I potted them up. The rhizomes are enormous. The growing heliconia in the picture is a Heliconia Lingulata Red Tip Fan. The big stumps poking out of the black pots are the 'Orange Gyro'. In all there were 6 rhizomes. One of them had 3 stalks and one of them had none. I could only fit 2 rhizomes per 3gal pot. Oh, the plant in the green pot is an Epiphyllum oxypetalum. For some reason I cannot get this picture to rotate in my photo software. Sorry about that.

That is a good deal, I'll have to keep my eye out for some of those flat rate box deals.
