who is growing this plant in zone 8b or 9a?
it looks nice but the most sources says that its hardy till zone 9b, or zone 10.

I planted it out one time and it died in the cold. Its not hardy on zone 8. I have another now that I am keeping as a container plant so that I can take it in and out

I just ran across this thread while doing a google search. I was also considering trying this one outside, but I guess I will not.
Anybody growing Dypsis decipiens outside in 8b/9a? I just stuck one in the ground.
