Yes, your plant is family Dogbane,Apocynaceae. Flowering time early spring to
fall. It is a shrublike perennial with three inch leaves marked with a central white rib. Flower is over an inch wide white or pink. Usually raised as an annual. It is a poisonous plant. |

Definitely , It's Caranthus roseus ( Roxb. ). It has many anti-tumor active ingredients. Origin from mid & north Asia. Spread from Himalayans to south east Asia.

We call it Mak (Papaver somniferum). Its common wild flower here and flowers only in may. Some varietys are used for making delicious cakes. There are even white and light pink varieties.This flower CANT be used for opium production

Oh yeah, some people here usually plant lots of corn around the perimeter of the field and center is almost exclusively planted out with this red weed. But yummy in the tummy.
