Nice!
I have a 7ft potted coffee (at least we try to keep it that size) that lives inside during the winter and goes outside for the summer. It bloomed for the first time 2 years ago and we actually got beans!
Really exciting considering it took about 10yrs to get to that point

My coffee was started as a 6" seedling in 2002 but now lives in the sitting room (the only place with enough room) during the winter. We drag it out each summer and put it under the quince or else it gets badly sunburned. By the end of the summer we have to chop about 2ft off the top before dragging it back inside and then have to continue to prune over winter or it gets too tall.

Hi Stephen,

how long did it take from seed to bloom? I am at this time in Vietnam and
have recently collected seeds, a) in the fruit and b) just the bare beans. I
need some advice, how I should plant them.

The WiFi here is quite weak, making corresponding a bit of a challenge, but I
will be back home in a week. So get ready to have your brains picked

I was smitten by the beauty of coffee plants in bloom and the accompanying
hyacinth-like fragrance in the air above the fields, but I have oodles of
questions.

Best,
Olaf
