Nice tree.
If you can find a Russell, I would highly recommend buying it.
I get around 250 - 2 to 3 lb top quality fruit per tree per year.
It's also a West Indian Race Type A.
My trees get harvested in July.

I don't even know how many different avocado trees I have, but the Russell is my best.

You should also get a Type B.

I can't see if you land is level, but avocados don't tolerate a high water table or much rain when fruiting.
I try to plant on hillsides, but maybe mound planting will give some added protection.
