Put me on your list for seeds. And please do you have a secret for germination? I ordered seeds a few months back and put them in moist perlite at 80 degrees on 2/1/9. Still nothing.

All I get at that site is a screen that lets you sign up for a newsletter.

Have you tried this one?
American Brugmansia & Datura Society Inc

I too have a huge seedpod that will be ready shortly. A cross of ButterflyX Isabella (I think it's isabella)

Mike, I find they send out roots just placed in water. I pop mine on top of a warm radiator to help them shoot.

Thanks, I just figured out I am trying to root them wrong. I was using older hardwood that is already brown and dryed out. I cut them back when my plant frooze.

I think I will rip out these sticks and toss em, I thought they would root from cutting like plumeria.

Seeds are easy.. .. You will need to soak them in warm water over night.. remove the corky outer layer and plant them in a well draining potting mix..slightly covered.. They do not need heat or light to germinate... Once they get up light is crucial and DO NOT OVER WATER!!!

Cuttings.. yep starting them in water is easy as well... Just keep the water clean a little H2O2 helps.. once you see little white nubbies on the cutting pot them up and DO NOT OVER WATER...LOL

Try this link..sorry about that...
World of Brugmansia • Index page
It is going to have a shop that will open soon where you can buy seed and some beautiful plants.. AND NO I don't have any affiliation with the owners.. I just love Brugs..LOL

Michael send me your address...
Dalmation.. let them dry out very well before you water.. DO NOT OVER WATER...
Once the get established the are water hogs.. LOL

You gotta soak the seeds for at least 24 hrs. For cuttings, I pot them up after they have roots from being in water.
And, (I know this is new) DO NOT OVER WATER

Oooh Paul, I never even heard of a dark red brug!!! I think I would LOVE to have a cutting of that!

as soon as i know for sure that they are the red one all take some cuttings and get them to you all. how soon after they sprout dose it take for them to bloom? I'm thinking they will this year? iv had a few problems with this vendor seeds not being what they say they are (Georgia Vine). i ordered some of the gigantic Caster Bean planted them they don't look all that gigantic to me. as a mater of fact id say there just the ordinary run of the mill caster Bean. on the bight side they made it through the winter so will see if they get gigantic of not. to been honist i planted them vary late in the season. i think it was in September. on a slightly different note did any one see that nice if not a bit short article in DG on the differance between brugs and denturs. we have a really beautiful Denturs that grows wild here in the desert. it gets 2.5ft tall has white flowers 6 to 8" dusty blue green foliage? a bit spiny to the touch o and quite lethal if ingested. the native American Medicine men use it for religious ceremonys.

Ps i found the seed paket and its B. vulcanicola

oooo a Vulc. Sweet!!!! Good Luck with that!
Yep Datura and Brugmansia are saaaaay cousins...LOL Both are fairly easy to grow..and part of the Solanaceae family .. Datura flowers point up and are grown as annuals in most areas while Brug flowers hang down or are slightly pendent and most time brought in for the Winter in colder climates.... There are many varieties of both..and both are poisonous so don't consume them in way shape or form..LOL

This is the exact color one I want. A few people told me that this type dies very easy, and does not last but one year and then you have to sow from seed again each year.

Mike, they were prolly talking about Datura.
Brugs will only bloom after they form a Y on the plant. Flowers will come above the Y branches. You can read about this on the ABADS link.
